Job Summary: UC Berkeley is seeking a Senior Prospect Analyst to join our Prospect Development team. Partnering with 30+ fundraising units, Prospect Development provides customized information and analysis that help development staff build and maintain relationships with donors. Prospect Development has a large and skilled research team whose members collaborate closely with fundraisers across campus. All candidates should share an entrepreneurial spirit, and be willing to initiate and lead projects to make our work more effective and improve our service to campus partners. 
Job Duties: Provide targeted services that support leadership annual ($1K to $24.9K) fundraising strategies and priorities. Researches, analyzes and synthesizes information from various sources to determine relevant characteristics of leadership annual prospects. Assist development staff in building and executing leadership annual fundraising plans. Use multiple methods and tools to analyze leadership annual fundraising outcomes. Identify potential leadership annual donors using predictive models, wealth screening, and data mining. Serve as consultant and trainer for effective use of the donor database and compliance with campus prospect management policies and procedures; provide additional training on information tools, processes, methodologies, research methods and information sources. Stay abreast of campus initiatives and priorities, and well as fundraising trends and issues; leverage networking and educational opportunities to develop necessary knowledge and skills; share skills and techniques with peers and colleagues.  Employ a variety of communication methods and media to inform clients of existing, new and enhanced services, database improvements, and department capabilities.


Job Requirements:  Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience. Outstanding organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong customer service orientation and follow-through. Experience using databases for information analysis, storage and retrieval. Knowledge of and experience with techniques and methodologies of research using broad range of information sources. Detail-oriented with ability to understand the big picture. Creative thinker who sees and builds connections and opportunities. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; articulate, outgoing and confident, with excellent listening skills. Curious, open-minded, resilient and flexible. Ability to work successfully in teams and under own initiative, handle multiple assignments simultaneously, and meet deadlines efficiently. Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to work with highly sensitive, confidential information
