Job Summary: Produce research; provide database input and management as it relates to donor/prospect research; create and assist in analysis of donor/prospect data, and utilize database skills to craft reports to support research in donor/prospect advancement. This position also updates major donor and prospect records on the database; monitors significant donor and prospect financial activity and news, and generates reports related to solicitations and events. *This position is located in Sacramento and supports the philanthropic initiatives of Sutter Care at Home, and other affiliates of Sutter Health as needed* 


Job Duties: Job Duty Highlights: Works under the supervision of the Director of Philanthropy to actively assist in the gathering, analysis and presentation of research on donors and prospective donors. Produces, edits and distributes correspondence, reports, and briefing memoranda. Updates donor and major prospect records in Salesforce NGOC donor database. Crafts, updates and runs full, summary and event profile reports as needed by the development team. Utilizes database (Saleforce NGOC) skills to create and analyzes reports that inform, analyze and track performance for donor/prospect advancement purposes. Utilizes database (Salesforce NGOC) skills to craft capital campaign reports related to donor research and donor tracking. In collaboration with the manager produces profiles of prospective donor. Researches and provides annotated guest lists and event profiles for upcoming events.  Works closely with development team to compile and analyze debriefing information garnered on prospective donors and donors following events. Uses current and gathered information to file, track and generally update the donor database


Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor's Preferred or equivalent education/experience Experience: A minimum of two years experience in the non-profit, philanthropic arena, health care or educational institution experience preferred. Experience with Salesforce NGOC, or other database management system, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer and Google preferred. Three plus years experience in a non-profit environment preferred. Candidates should have no less than one year of experience as a Prospect Researcher preferred. Skills and Knowledge: Ability to discreetly handle confidential information; knowledge of fundraising and non-profit organizations; conceptual knowledge of database software. Highly proficient in MS Office Suite & database management, Salesforce NGOC or Raiser's Edge software experience preferred. Strong project management skills, excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Detail-oriented, strong writing skills with excellent command of grammar, spelling and composition. Ability to anticipate, take initiative and follow through on assignments. Excellent team player, and ability to shift priorities, coordinate multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills utilizing a high level of tact and diplomacy. Ability to provide detailed information and service to a wide range of internal and external contacts. High intelligence and the ability to learn quickly because of the complex environment in which he/she will operate. The proven ability to think strategically, analytically and creatively. Strong organizational, and management skills; capable of working both independently and as a team member; results-oriented; self starter. An understanding of and identification with the goals and objectives of the institution. Ability to communicate clearly and accurately in both written and oral communications. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously required.
