Job Title: Development Operations Associate

Job Summary: Reporting to the Vice President of Development, this individual is responsible for creating and supporting the operational systems and related strategy that supports the Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF) Development Department and its annual fundraising goals. Working closely with the Vice President of Development, this individual is responsible for maintaining the resources to support the activities of the development department, ensure consistency of operations, create and promote data and operational efficiencies where appropriate. 
RESPONSIBILITIES: Work to ensure continuity and usability of the development department's operations and procedures both within the department and across the organization. Serve as the point person for the department on various cross-departmental initiatives related to capturing data, utilization of current or future CRM databases and championing the use of data in developing strategic plans and other business decisions. Work with the department to keep the prospect pipeline moving and analyze the activity related to key performance indicators. Ensure that all reports produced are accurate, efficient, reflect the work of the department and assist the team with evaluating progress toward meeting the metrics for all work plan and project plan items. Lead the development department invoicing process and the necessary follow up to ensure prompt and proper payment to vendors. Evaluate department operations processes and make recommendations to revise and create new processes as needed. Conceptualize, test and write new procedures as needed. Train current and new staff as necessary. Assist the development department in the creation of new and renewal of contracts and coordinate new templates and procedures. Assist in management of all database activities, including creating, training and compliance around data quality standards throughout the department to ensure the proper input and output of data. Assist in the prospect process, research projects, invoicing process, reports and any other tasks that need to be completed to ensure the processes are followed and efficiencies are implemented.
Job Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree,1-2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience focused on data analytics, process implementation and improvements in a nonprofit or for-profit field. Knowledge of fundraising procedures and processes is preferred. Demonstrated ability to take complex data outputs and synthesize into understandable reports. Familiarity with CRM and CRM-related applications and database operations, preferably with those used in development. Mastery of Excel, the creation and utilization of pivot tables and other Window, based applications. Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint or the equivalent software. Experience with Raiser's Edge preferred. Excellent written and oral presentation and communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment and with diverse audiences. Ability to manage multiple projects and people simultaneously with attention to detail.
