Job Duties: Provide high-level programmatic, analytical, research and administrative services for the office of Prospect Management and Research. Provide support for various systems, policies, programs and communications related to the coordination of Prospect Management and Research services to help build philanthropic support for UC Davis. Work closely and collaboratively with development directors across campus and the various University Development centers of excellence. Responsible for providing strategic data and information for the prospect management and tracking system, conducting basic prospect research and analysis, managing departmental budget in coordination with the Director and building and supporting administrative practices to increase efficiency in the unit. This position will work under the general direction of the Director, but duties are performed independently. 
Job Requirements: Project management, strategic planning and evaluation skills. Skills to analyze define and assess problems, issues and needs. Organizational skills to take initiative and prioritize complex work under multiple competing deadlines, heavy workload and overlapping activities in a multifaceted and complex unit. Experience in taking a complex project from conception to completion with little supervision and using independent and resourceful judgment. Experience managing department operations, including scheduling and coordinating complex meetings. Communication skills to effectively and professionally communicate complex policies and processes (verbal and in writing) with a variety of development professionals and senior leadership throughout campus. Analytical skills to search and analyze a variety of public information resources and compile key information into a concise accurate document. Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, calendaring electronic mail and internet. Experience in various operating system and software applications including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Budgeting skills to monitor and manage unit expenses in collaboration with unit director. Skills to maintain confidentiality of sensitive issues and to exercise discretion and diplomacy. Skills to work independently and take initiative. Regularly review and make recommendations on process improvements and streamlining.
