Welcome to the CARA Involvement Information PageSince 1993, CARA has provided advancement research professionals a forum in which to discover new services and resources specific to research and fundraising in general. Originally two separate organizations, the Southern California Researchers Association (SoCARA) and the Bay Area Researcher Group (BARG), CARA became an official APRA chapter in 1993 to better serve its membership. To that end, CARA continually provides professional development and education through regional seminar days, workshops, newsletters, and the annual conference. By becoming a CARA sponsor, you will be able to reach and impact those individuals who directly utilize many of your services and products. Speak directly to your target market and find out first hand what they are thinking. Of the many sponsorship opportunities, the annual CARA Conference is the single West Coast event where development research professionals from all over California (and beyond) come together for an intensive program to acquire new skills, learn about research products, and network with their peers. CARA is the largest single state chapter of the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA).
