Job PostingOccidental College The Prospect Research Analyst conducts research to assist Institutional Advancement staff in the collection and dissemination of information on prospective donors. Will assess and summarize data from numerous sources, compose a variety of prospect profiles and summaries, and coordinate flow of information in and out of databases. Some prospect management responsibilities and other duties as assigned. A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent education/work experience) along with 1-3 years of prospect research or equivalent experience is required, preferably within higher education or similar environment. Candidates must possess outstanding critical thinking skills as well as the ability to analyze and interpret business and financial data. Must be able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines. Excellent writing skills and attention to detail a must. Extensive computer experience required, including database knowledge (Banner, Kintera/P!N, Lexis-Nexis experience preferred), internet search skills, Microsoft Word, Excel (required), and Access.
