Job PostingLos Angeles Philharmonic Association Prospect Coordinator Salary range: Depends on ExperienceJob Summary: The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association is looking for a Prospect Coordinator. In this role they will be responsible for coordinating and tracking patron solicitation, acknowledgment and stewardship activities for Patron level ($3,500+) annual giving and special project donors and prospects. Will create and maintain effective methods to document and communicate information on fundraising progress for current and potential donors in order to meet revenue targets and timeframes. Participate in development strategic planning and implementation. Job Duties: Prospect Coordinator Job Duties: • Organize and manage timetables for cultivating and soliciting annual fund and special project donors and prospects. • Collaborate with solicitors, research staff, VP for Development and Director of Development and other key staff on an ongoing basis to ensure that fundraising plans are established and followed for all donors and prospects. • Report on variances to revenue and timing, and identify opportunities to increase fundraising opportunities from current, lapsed, and potential donors. • Working closely with major gifts, research and database staff, identify prospects for new and increased giving and integrate these into fundraising plans. • Serve as a link between staff responsible for various campaign efforts with the goal of maximizing fundraising potential from prospects and donors and ensuring cohesive communication on behalf of the institution. • Maintain a comprehensive work plan document detailing solicitation strategy for each campaign, donor and prospect and implement procedures for tracking and reporting on all stages of the fundraising process. • Work strategically to assess cases in which specific donors should receive specialized solicitation methods that vary from the regular cycle and manage these closely to ensure that fundraising objectives are met. • Coordinate prospect management information with development operations staff to ensure proper recordkeeping and to use the donor database effectively to help manage relationships and generate fundraising revenue. • Participate in development staff meetings and strategy sessions in order to help facilitate the fundraising process and maximize contributed revenue for LA Phil programs. • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of donor and prospect information. • Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Prospect Coordinator Requirements: • Minimum two years experience in arts funding and or development • Strong knowledge of fundraising practices, techniques and systems • Excellent writing and communications skills • Good desktop computing capability on windows based software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, etc.), and Windows based donor database management software (preferably Raisers Edge), • Ability to work under deadline, on a number of different tasks simultaneously, and be flexible, organized, and adaptable. • Understanding of and interest in prospect research techniques and both on-line and published research sources, • College degree or equivalent work experience Contact: Human Resources 151 South Grand Avenue Los Angeles, CA 90012 Please email your resume and cover letter to applicant@laphil.org to apply.
